+Monday Blues

Sometimes the weekend extends into Monday....and that's what we did. Right when I got home, Chris said he wanted to go to the pool and I jumped on the idea. We quickly changed into our bathing suits and ran to the pool to soak in the last bits of sun rays. I can't believe summer is slowly coming to an end.

This has been a busy year for us: we got married, I moved cross country, started a new job and now, two of our closest friends are tying the knot 1 week apart! That means, we've been jet setting across the country to make sure our dear friends are celebrated correctly before they say their 'I Do's'. As soon as we touched down we hopped into cars and drove to opposite ends of California...

Sometimes the best pictures don't always come from your hired photographer but from your friends who capture silly, in the moment photos. My friend's fiance was one of my secret photogs that I couldn't wait to steal pictures from. Looking back at these pictures reminds me of how my wedding turned out better than I could ever imagined. The only thing that really mattered was seeing all the familiar faces and people that we cherish around us celebrating a special day. Here is just a snippet of what my most favorite day looked like....

+ FLAG FOOTBALL

Since moving to Virginia, I've been roped into all of Chris' active sports leagues that include co-ed softball and flag football. I've always been a lover of team sports so I willingly joined the summer softball team and unwillingly 'joined' the flag football league. Although flag football isn't my forte, I still manage to suit up and jump into a few plays when needed. If anything I think my cheerleading on the sidelines is more helpful than me trying to block for the QB.

Oh, just a few good looking firemen fighting their way through fires. Nothing says, 'hell ya!' like this photo does after putting out a blaze at a nearby business. All in a days work, nothing more. I must say that seeing the man in uniform makes me feel like he can save the whole world. Ok, maybe just one blaze at a time...

The ladies and I couldn't pass up this amazing opportunity to see Justin Timberlake & Jay-Z on their summer tour, Legends of Summer in concert. We danced the whole night away, sang every song & pretended we were teenagers swooning over our rock star. #legendsoftheladies
